In September 2015, the Intel Core i3-6100, a two-core desktop processor, was introduced. It is a member of the Core i3 series and has Socket 1151 Skylake architecture. Intel Hyper-Threading allows for an effective doubling of the core count, resulting in 4 threads. The Core i3-6100 processor runs at 3.7 GHz and has 4 MB of L3 cache. Using 1,400 million transistors on a 14 nm production node, Intel is producing the Core i3-6100.
